Traffic Control

The city of Starkville is home to some 25,000 residents. However, on gameday, the city more than triples in size! On gameday, Davis Wade Stadium becomes the second largest city in OUR state! This increase in pedestrians and vehicles interferes with traffic flow both on and off campus. Please remember to be both patient and courteous to others on the road when entering and exiting campus.

The University's traffic management plan is coordinated with local and state law enforcement to give fans a safe and timely egress solution.

Staff will be positioned at major intersections and parking lots at the conclusion of the game to direct traffic flow off campus. Please keep in mind that staff may be forced to change directions and routes on a game by game basis because of unforeseen circumstances such as accidents, traffic and other issues that often arise on gameday. Please note that these actions always have the fans' best interests and safety in mind and are in no way meant as a hindrance. The goal of MSU staff and law enforcement is to provide the safest and most efficient routes, both on and off campus.
